Abbas Alizada is known worldwide as the Afghan ‘Bruce Lee’. After watching a film with the Chinese actor in early childhood, Abbas gave his heart to martial arts.

At 18, Alizada took a picture of himself posing like Bruce Lee and posted it on Facebook. People were amazed at his striking resemblance to Lee, and Abbas soon became a social media star. His life, however, was put at risk as Islamic traditions and views have always had a strong influence in Afghanistan. He even wanted to leave the country. The situation became worse after the Taliban took power in the country. When we contacted Abbas, he couldn’t say anything about his life today as he’s in hiding.
