The girl selectable protagonist has a different opening and ending, which is a bit strange since both are absolutely interchangeable. Emma is a rich girl who is disliked by her servants and the ending is her celebrating her birthday party. I looked into one of the dances Emma performs after helping the farmer and I couldn't spot anything too different. Also collecting all the Balan statues for a boss unlocks the English version of the song after it. In a typical fashion for the game, collecting those statues is a pain since you have to hit it in 3 different ways, which are not always obvious. Not only that but sometimes there's a sequence, so if you miss the second opportunity the boss will repeat his first attack pattern, thus locking you out of at least one statue with the 3rd one, which will never appear. I won't be unlocking those statues for some cheesy songs.
