What’s up guy’s it is Ethy and in this video I’m going to be tackling one of my favorite topics which is the Carnivore Diet. I have come across a lot of delusional ideologies throughout the years in my philosophical inquiries, antinatalism, pro life, sjw twitter vegans, but the carnivore community really takes the cake as the most delusional ideology I have come across. So since this is a diet hence most people’s justification for following this diet would obviously be for health reasons I’m going to debunk the claim that the average carnivore diet is healthy straight out the gate, and I’m defining the average carnivore dieter as someone who eats a restrictive diet that only includes meat, fish, and other animal foods like eggs and certain dairy products as Shawn Baker puts it.
So the first thing I want to show you is this PDF that was made by 5 different people consisting of MDs and PHDs that take into account 38 different studies and this is what is said in the abstract
“The normal low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol range is 50 to 70 mg/dl for native hunter-gatherers, healthy human neonates, free-living primates, and other wild mammals (all of whom do not develop atherosclerosis). Randomized trial data suggest atherosclerosis progression and coronary heart disease events are minimized when LDL is lowered to 70 mg/dl. No major safety concerns have surfaced in studies that lowered LDL to this range of 50 to 70 mg/dl. The current guidelines setting the target LDL at 100 to 115 mg/dl may lead to substantial undertreatment in high-risk individuals.”

The average total cholesterol level in American adults today is 208 mg/dl (corresponding to an LDL of approximately 130 mg/dl) (13). In this case, average is not normal because atherosclerosis is present in up to 40% to 50% of women and men by age 50 (14). Atherosclerosis is endemic in our population in part because the average person's LDL level is approximately twice the normal physiologic level (Fig. 1).
So if the average american’s total cholesterol level is not healthy, the average american of course having a lower cholesterol level than the average carnivore because they consume less cholesterol than the average carnivore imagine how unhealthy the carnivores cholesterol level is, unless a carnivore is seriously starving themselves or only eating the few animal products that don’t contain cholesterol there is virtually no way their cholesterol could be in the healthy range of 50 to 70 mg/dl where atherosclerosis progression and coronary heart disease events are drastically minimized

We assessed whether the association between LDL and ASCVD (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) fulfils the criteria for causality by evaluating the totality of evidence from genetic studies, prospective epidemiologic cohort studies, Mendelian randomization studies, and randomized trials of LDL-lowering therapies. Conclusion
Consistent evidence from numerous and multiple different types of clinical and genetic studies unequivocally establishes that LDL causes ASCVD.

So I have more evidence to back up my claim that the typical carnivore diet is not fucking healthy mainly due to LDL cholesterol having a causal role in heart disease but I don’t even see the point in bothering at this point if you’re not convinced by what I’ve showed you so far then if you die of a heart attack that’s basically natural selection. But since there’s unfortunately a lot of propaganda going around saying that following a vegan or plant based diet is by necessity unhealthy I’m going to debunk that claim now as well.
