Robbers Disguised as Trick or Treaters Rob Home at Gunpoint

It was reported to police that on Sunday October 31, 2021, at approximately 2239 hours, at a residence in the vicinity of Lake Avenue and Nostrand Avenue, a male and a female knocked on the 37-year-old male victim's door and said "treat or treat". The victim opened the door and gave the two individuals candy. At that time, the male brandished a handgun and tried to force his way into the victim's home. The female walked down the stairs and fled the scene on foot eastbound toward Nostrand Avenue. As the victim struggled to keep the individual out, a second male ran up to the door and also tried to push his way past the victim. The males punched the victim in the face repeatedly during the incident. After a brief period of time, the victim managed to push both males out of his home and locked the door. The two males fled the scene on foot eastbound towards Nostrand Avenue.
