The 45rpm single was issued on Apple 1826 - My Sweet Lord (Harrison) by Billy Preston, produced by George Harrison and Billy Preston
Before the Beatles breakup and months before recording his own worldwide hit version, George Harrison wrote “My Sweet Lord” and produced it for the 1970 Billy Preston LP “Encouraging Words.” The Preston track was also eventually issued as a single and spent some weeks on the national charts while the Harrison version was still riding high.
