The Cardiff Giant: Elaborate Hoax or a PSYOP?

Newspapers of the 19th and 20th centuries occasionally published accounts of supposed giants' remains having been unearthed. Despite that such accounts likely number in the thousands, mainstream science and academia attribute them to anything but reality. So, were all of these accounts just mere hoaxes or otherwise bogus? Is the human species unlike so many other animal species in that it was not predated by significantly larger forms? To help answer these and other questions, in this paper I take a justifiably skeptical look at the history surrounding the Cardiff Giant "hoax" of 1869, revealing some of its more intriguing connections. As the reader will see, the preponderance of evidence suggests that this well-known historical event wasn't just an elaborate hoax as the purveyors of fake history would have us all believe. Rather, it was a deception on a higher level; something that today would be referred to as a "PSYOP" (psychological operation). Not surprising, implicated in this PSYOP is none other than the Smithsonian Institution which clearly stood to benefit--if only from the doubt that was manufactured as a result!
