Metal Unit - Playthrough Part 3

I've had some trouble with the next set of levels, which were ice themed. I died for the first time and saw the rogue-lite elements of the game - upon death you lose all your equipment, but gain some crystals used for permanent upgrades based on your performance. This was slightly irritating since I lost some great weapons I got from the Blue Dragon, but at least there is a set of standard weapons you can choose from when you are back in the base, so not everything is lost. One useful upgrade restores some health after completing a stage and that one is a must considering how few healing items there are.

When I finally managed to complete the set of levels Joanna stumbled upon a horrific experiment where tons of civilians were nailed to crosses and experimented by the evil mime looking Dr Bog. He reveals that the injections Metal Unit pilots receive are made from alien blood and accuses Dr X of brainwashing people to serve him. This is a bit strange since he seem to have brainwashed his daughter and is infusing all these civilians with alien matter to create an army of Metal Units and use his daughter as a host for the alien queen. The mystery seems to grow deep. Yuna is one of the people nailed to those crosses and when Adam sees her he goes berserk and along with the traitor Shion attacks Joanna. Upon victory Adam instructs Joanna to find the truth. Yuna is teleported away and we are left on a cliffhanger.
