Mossoró dancer Nylson Torres dies aged 37

Mossoró dancer Nylson Torres passed away this Wednesday afternoon, 24, at the age of 37. He had been hospitalized on May 10 with Covid-19, due to complications he had to be intubated and ended up dying after a cardiorespiratory arrest. On social media, Nando Damásio mourned the death of his husband. "The only time you broke my heart was when yours stopped," he wrote.
In 2009 Nylson founded the Nylson Torres Dance Center, where he taught classical ballet, jazz, contemporary dance and K-pop. In 2020, Núcleo was even selected to participate in the Dança de Grupo Kids, from the Domingão do Faustão program at the time. Participation was canceled because of the pandemic.
