•Steps for "Lavender/Menthol Removal and Extraction":
1. Open the benzedrex
2. Cut it up into 4 pieces
3. Put it into a water bottle (plastic would work best)
4. Pour lemon juice into bottle (Enough to submerge the cotton)
5. Let it soak (24 hours would work the best, 20 should be fine)
6. Remove the cotton, make sure to squeeze out every last drop of it from the cotton. Pour mixture into new bottle and add a little bit olive oil into a new bottle ( extra virgin olive oil works the best but cooking or vegetable oil would work also)
7.. Shake it vigorously until you see that the lemon and oil combine into a muddy dark mixture
8. Pour mixture into Ziploc bag
9. Wait for a few minutes to allow it to seperate. Wait until you see a clear seperation between the liquid and the oil
10. Poke a small hole into the bottom of the bag and allow the liquid to drain into a cup or glass.
11. Watch as the bottom liquid drains into the cup , and pull the bag away when the oil reaches the hole, try and make sure to pay attention and pull it away before it leaks in
12. Drink and enjoy! The lavender and Menthol taste is completely removed, it tastes only like lemon. The purity should be pretty much the same too.
