Phoenix Plays: Crusader Kings II - House Virdis | Introduction

Join me for my roleplay-ish Let's play of Crusader Kings 2. In this playthrough, I will be starting out in Northern Italy as the Duke of Tuscany and Spoleto with my custom character: Duke Chiano of House Virdis. I will be attempting to take my burgeoning house through the ages to amass political powwer in the Holy Roman Empire.

As I will be roleplaying in this series, the primary focus will be on storytelling and crafting a narrative rather than on painting the map my color.

While this series will not be a walkthrough, guide or tutorial, I will try my best to stop and explain the game mechanics as they become relevant to my playthrough (as in, I will explain factions when I make my first faction or one of my liege's factions become especially powerful).

Crusader Kings II is a PC grand strategy game developed by Paradox Development Studio and released by Paradox Interactive. As of this recording, my game includes the sword of Islam, Legacy of Rome, the republic, the old gods, sons of Abraham, rajas of India, Charlemagne, Way of life, horse lords, conclave, the Reaper's due and Monks and Mystics expansion packs.
