Alfred Schaefer exposes the targeted murder of the German Soldiers in the American prison camps on the Rheinwiesen (Rhine meadows) by starvation. I believe most died of thirst because in three days the body can no longer function without water. There is one scene where a young man is suffering from his dried out mouth, moving his mouth and lips. This man, like hundreds of thousands, will die if he does not get any water real soon. It is estimated that over 1 Million German POWs were murdered on the Rhinewiesen (rhine meadows). Their corpses were transported out to France and Belgien and dumped somewhere out in mass graves on fields near the transport roads to hide the crime.
