MORE
Welcome to Ruckle Heritage Farm on Salt Spring Island, and Episode 2 of Season 1, #NaturallySaltSpring, of Naturally Ours (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpV4uIM1kg4&list=PL3A91ZSWvSVUcu8R38xrg9Foc4I5id-5b)-5b)!
In this episode of Naturally Ours, we visit British Columbia's oldest work farm, Ruckle Heritage Farm, where we are met with beauty of place, love of the residents, and depth of understanding from farmer and caretaker, Mike Lane. Mike's understanding of ecosystems, carbon cycles, and maintaining a sustainable footprint on Ruckle Heritage Farm far exceeds that of many who study the environmental science. Why? Because he is intimately familiar with the land and the animals he works with and cares for everyday. We learned so much from him, in our brief visit.
