We haven't seen much, basically almost none, (capital inflows into the mining stocks) and that creates a deficit. We are seeing, in 2019, a 16% climb in gold. If you acquired some physical gold a year ago today, 12/22/2018, the gold you now hold rose more than the S&P500 stock market. Gold has increased by some 400% since approximately 2001. Not bad for a "pet rock".
