Road 96 - Playthrough Part 1

Road 96 is a first person narrative adventure game. You play as a nameless youth who is trying to escape his totalitarian country. On the way you meet a cast of different characters and learn more about them and the country. You have a stamina bar, which gradually depletes as you travel and you can restore it by eating or drinking. Sometimes you have the opportunity to buy food with money. After you reach the end of the road you cross the border and you start playing again as a different nameless youth meeting some of the same characters. Some of them are compelling, but a large percentage of them are quite annoying. There are also attempts at quirky humour, but it didn't land for me. I guess the idea is to keep playing until the election happens and maybe your interactions with the characters will sway the result of it. It's a novel idea, but I don't find most of the people represented in the game interesting enough to keep playing.
