EDWARDSVILLE • Police said Tuesday they had charged Zachary Capers, 23, with four counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of Michael and Lois Ladd.
Police said they knew of no connection between Capers and his victims, nor any reason why he might have killed them. They described Capers as a man with a last known address in Collinsville but who also lived on the streets.
