My First Time Using Gouache and Background Speedpaint by Shell Presto

Join Shell Presto as she paints a background for a drawing of Atomic Ranger standing at a lonely, above-ground subway station. She paints it using gouache, which is quite the experiment since it's her first time using gouache.

She'll discuss which gouache qualities led her to choose the brand she did, how M. Graham gouache behaves, doing a glow effect, and using a ruler while painting.

Materials used:
- Canson Mixed Media Paper
- Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus Watercolors
- Venetian Brown and Ultramarine
- M. Graham Goache
- Azo Yellow, Hansa Yellow, Permanent Green, Ivory Black,
and Titanium White, Napthol Red
I used the Hydrus blue-brown mixture mixed with gouache
when I needed blue, to keep color unity.
