What Type of Writer Are You? Of Stories, Characters and Scenes (Episode 80)

Being a screenwriter has many challenges, especially in these days of it being taught far and wide in a multiplicity of academic institutions. One of the things that is most challenging about it is that very little of the instruction is based on writing to where one's talents and the market collide fortuitously. In this age of increasing opportunity, there is ironically less emphasis than before on the actual process of making sure your individual talents are maximized along with your opportunities. This series emphasizes some of the tricks of the trade to help you maximize your opportunities both on the page and in the room while pitching.

This episode is actually a reworking of an earlier version done over a year ago. There have been many changes to the business, and those will be explored in the context of new opportunities in this and the following episodes.
