Today we'll show you how to make corned beef two ways. If you've got a crock pot you'll love this!
We started with a Chris Brothers Corned Beef, removed it from the package and put in the crock pot.
Next we added a bay leaf, some mustard seed, garlic powder, pickling spice, a few black peppercorns, and finally enough water to cover.
We put the lid on, turned it on low and left it on overnight. This is how it looked in the morning, so we pulled it out and cut off a few slices. To make sandwiches of course.
We used homemade bread with some hot German mustard, a good slice of the corned beef, a few slices of Swiss Cheese and some homemade Sauerkraut. Then we put them in the Pannini maker and toasted them.
Served with a Guinness or your choice of beverage and this makes a delicious lunch.
Not satisfied with eating only sandwiches we cut up Cabbage, Carrots, and Potatoes and put them in the crock pot with the juices left from cooking the Corned Beef. Leaving the crock pot on low for 3-5 hours will cook the vegetables just right.
Now with a slice of Corned Beef and the Vegetables you've got another complete meal.
