#Phonepunk# 2003-2009 Compilation

This is a compilation of recordings by #Phonepunk#.

#Phonepunk# is a noise music project in Atlanta, GA starting in 2003, primarily operating in the 2000s. The premise was to make music only using telephone for sounds, and it began with a 4-track Tascam, a contact microphone, and an old Nokia brick cell phone. Soon it graduated towards using big oldschool landline telephone that we found in thrift stores. Soon enough we started creating digital samples from all this and making songs in Fruity Loops. So there grew to be two kinds of songs: ones created live, by layering phone tones and percussion one on top of another, and ones sequenced with samples in Fruity Loops.

This is a selection of both style of recording.
