CBN: A Tale of Two Prayers in the Pennsylvania State House: 'Jesus' Prayer Blasted as ‘Islamophobic’, while Quran Prayer was Applauded. A Republican State Representative from Pennsylvania, Stephanie Borowicz, was facing heavy criticism last month after she delivered a Christian prayer in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives before the swearing in of Democratic Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell. Movita Johnson-Harrell was sworn in that day as Pennsylvania's first Muslim woman representative. Stephanie Borowicz, who is a Christian and the wife of an associate pastor, was being criticized for saying “Jesus” 13 times, “God” 6 times, “Lord” 4 times during the prayer and for being grateful to God that President Trump “stands beside Israel.” Republican Rep. Stephanie Borowicz leading the state house chamber of Pennsylvania in a Christian prayer. Democratic Rep. Movita released a statement the next day where she admitted she didn’t believe Borowicz recited a prayer and that it was just a radical, offensive, and political statement. Here Movita reminds everyone that she is the first Hijabi Muslim representative of Pennsylvania. Movita then says that Muslims, Jews, and Christians were offended by Borowicz’s Christian prayer.
