Pakistani sex pest allowed to drive taxi on bail in Ireland
A serial sex pest from Pakistan has been allowed to continue to drive a taxi in Ireland while on bail. Mansoor Uddin (41) who lives in Castleway, Adamstown, Lucan pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting three young women passengers within two weeks but his case was adjourned to allow for the preparation of a psychological report.
He pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to a sexual assault on January 30, 2016 and two sexual assaults on February 16, 2016.
As part of his bail conditions a female passenger is not permitted to be a front seat passenger in Uddin's taxi but he is still allowed to drive a taxi and have female passengers in his back seat.
Judge Sinéad Ní Chulacháin adjourned the case to May 8, next, for sentence and remanded Uddin on continuing bail.
Uddin is married with two teenage daughters and a younger son.
Niall Boylan heard from callers, one of whom feared for women sitting in the back of a taxi cab in case the child-lock is activated and would inhibit them exiting a vehicle if they thought they would be sexually assaulted.
Niall also heard a protest will take place tomorrow where drivers will be asked to beep their horns three times at 3 o'clock called "the three for three" to support the three sexual assault survivors.
