ALDEHYDES FROM BLEACH part 1

How to use BLEACH to oxidize alcohols into aldehydes and ketones. The real oxidizer is hypochlorous acid. But this acid can be made EASIALY by adding acetic acid to common household bleach. Primary alcohols are oxidized into aldehdyes and secondary alcohols are oxidized into ketones. I MADE A MISTAKE..........PCC should be on the list of mild oxidizers but i put it on the list of strong oxidizers like KMnO4 and potassium dichromate The reaction likes to be done at 45 to 50 C.
