In Hawaii shortly after it had become a state Murder came strolling up to a lanai and left a Winterslip dead. This brings Charlie Chan onto the scene, he is not the primary focus of the book and often is only mentioned however it leads to the series and movies that followed. Sadly this movie was lost so only way we can enjoy this book is through reading or audio. I put in a picture of the writer and the assumed inspiration behind the character: Chang Apana who looks nothing like the Charlie Chan we know today.
