This is a seven note lick. All notes are on the third string. Let's consider it in two parts. Part one is three notes, C - 5th fret, pull off to Bb - 3rd fret, pull off to the open G. Part two is four notes, hammer on to Bb - 3rd fret, hammer on to C - 5th fret, pull off to Bb - 3rd fret, pull off to open G. Repeat. This is executed with one pick stroke to get it started. All subsequent notes are sounded by the hammer on and pull off action. The lick is also played with heavy palm muting as I slowly move my right hand closer and closer to the bridge to decrease the palm muting over time and eventually end up with no palm muting at all. Guitar lessons average $50.00 an hour. (I know, I'm a professional instructor.) Would you consider donating 99 cents for this simple lesson? If yes, click on the green $ button for a link to Paypal.
