Dylan Dog ed Il Castello delle Illusioni (Dylan Dog and the Castle of Illusion) is a shoot'em up, which was published by Italian company Systems Editoriale. It was later re-released under the name Bob Nixie and the Castle of the Illusion. Dylan Dog is a long-running comic starring the eponymous character who is a sort of paranormal detective.
The game was created with the Shoot'em Up Construction Kit. You control Dylan from a top-down view and must find your way through a castle. The stage scrolls vertically, but there is no auto-scrolling. Apart from moving, Dylan can only shoot. One hit and he looses a live, but you can gain extra lives by scoring enough points. A hew objects like candle sticks can be shot for extra-points. the game is over once you reach your assistant Gaucho at the exit of the castle.
