Robocop versus The Terminator is run'n'gun based on the comic of the same name. It was first developed for the Mega Drive/Genesis by Virgin Games' US-branch, and later ported to the Master System and Game Gear by NMS Software. There are games of the same name for the SNES and Game Boy, as well as an unreleased NES game, but I don't know if they are straight ports.
You take control of Robocop on his way to destroy SkyNet. You battle your way through thug-infested streets and factories full of hostile robots and cyborgs. Some levels have an additional tasks, like saving hostages or destroying cameras. Robocop starts of with his handgun, but he can find other weapons in the levels, like a giant laser or a rocket launcher. He will lose the weapon if he loses one life. Also, while on a ladder and climbing, Robocop can only use his handgun.
