A Pro-Life Libertarian speaks on Abortion and the Libertarian Conscience with Prospective New Member

This is a recorded phone call with potential new Party member Eric - who gave his explicit permission for me to record and distribute. One of the subjects I discussed was the views of Dr. Sharon Presley*, who objected to my characterization of her position as a right to abortion until the umbilical cord is cut when she says it is until natural childbirth. While I think that is a distinction without a difference, I edited that part out and agreed to use her terminology in the future.

Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.
