I have patients who cannot exert themselves as they used to (decreased exertion tolerance). I believe these people have thousands of clogged capillaries in their lungs, meaning they have permanently damaged lungs. That's why they get out of breath so easily all of a sudden.

These people will develop pulmonary arterial hypertension, which is high blood pressure in the lungs, and probably all develop right-sided heart failure within 3 years and die because they now have increased vascular resistance in their lungs. Lung, heart, brain, and spinal tissues do not regenerate."
