The minster for Luwero-Rwenzori Triangle Alice Kaboyo has advised leaders from Busoga sub region to combine efforts in changing livelihoods of people.
Kaboyo addressed this at the launching ceremony of the distribution of over fifty thousand hand hoes for Busoga sub region in Jinja City.

Vice President, Jessica Alupo and her family, Friday, completed the enumeration exercise in her village of Oigo Imomwa, Ongongoja sub county, Katakwi district.
Speaking to the media shortly after the enumeration exercise, the vice president said census figures play a critical role in guiding planning, policy formulation, and program implementation, as well as monitoring development progress in line with national goals and objectives.
She urged the general public to actively participate in the ongoing national population and housing census exercise saying the exercise is crucial since it enables the government to plan better for its people.

The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has emphasized the need for all Ugandans to participate in the National population and Housing Census
Nabbanja was enumerated at her home at Kinena Town Council in Kakumiro district by a team lead by Dr Allen Kabagenyi a board member of the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics.
Dr. Allen Kabagenyi noted that this is the first digital enumeration exercise carried in Uganda and is expected to be the most accurate

The census exercise has not commenced in the areas of Katwe a kampala suburb following enumerators complaining that they can not log into the system.
A group of enumerators we found at st. paul primary school seemed stranded with ipads saying they have not been updated into the system and therefore could not go out to enumerate people because they could not access the questionnaires.
The residents we interacted with in Katwe kinyoro say they have seen some enumerators around who complained that the system was not working. They are however optimistic that given the many days for the exercise they will be counted.

The state minister for minerals, Phionah Nyamutoro has toured the artisanal gold mining fields in Abim district.
Her visit aimed to both understand the challenges faced by the gold miners and to enforce a presidential directive requiring miners to cease activities until proper artisanal mining licenses are issued.

The state minister for ICT and national guidance Godfrey Kabbyanga has called upon Ugandans to embrace Census exercise for proper service delivery.
The minister said this today after getting enumerated at his home in Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council in Bukonzo county West Kasese district.

The Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, Andrew Byakutaga Ateenyi, has urged the public to participate in the 2024 national census.
He emphasized the importance of the exercise in helping the government plan for the country's development.
Speaking from his home in Kaibaalya cell, Hoima west division, Hoima city, where he was enumerated the Premier said, the census will also help identify the clans in Bunyoro, which is crucial for the Kingdom's leadership.

The Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Jacob Oboth-Oboth, has advised the ex-combatants of the defunct West Nile Bank Front to invest the money government has given to them as their resettlement package.
Hon. Oboth made these remarks during the launch of the commencement of payment of 5.1 billion shillings to ex-combatants of the defunct West Nile Bank Front at Koboko district headquarters in West Nile sub region.
