I have been in Panama for almost a month now and I'm enjoying myself implicitly no matter where I go. In case you are wondering about the currency, it is called the Balboa but it is tied directly to the US dollar.
Whenever you get change on smaller bills, you'll get a coin that is either one Balboa or a 50 cent piece. the one Balboa coin is only valid in Panama and looks similar to the Canadian $2 coin.
