Such is the message with Venus approaching Pluto, the underworld. It's time to shed our old concepts of love in order to give meaning not only to the word but to our lives. While I go into this extensively in the report (and even wrote the book What Is Love? https://bit.ly/what-is-love_book), Love is way more than what is portrayed in Hollywood movies and romance novels. Some have died for love, and others live for love. It's the most potent force in the universe, according to New Paradigm Astrology! Love asks a lot of us and from us, and the more we listen to it, the more transparent and empowered we are.

So what a chart for the start of the new year! We can see some of the themes of 2023 from this "birth chart of the year." Four planets in the sign of external authorities like governments and corporations in square to the wounded warrior (Chiron in Aries). We'll have to see how that plays out. Venus JUST past her visit with Pluto emerging renewed out of the underworld, symbolizing the rise of the feminine on the verge of liberation (about to enter Aquarius). Mercury just turned retrograde, reminding us to think twice before speaking, committing, or signing.

That's the energy for this holiday season! Slow and steady wins the race. Capricorn/Saturn energy, in addition to being external authority and institutions, etc., is also associated with our past, our families, and all the conditioning that has provided us structure, security, and a public persona. The square between Jupiter in Aries (strong-willed independence) may be challenged a bit by family, creating a tension that requires an expansion of consciousness to include the discordant energies.

As a cultural phenomenon, the holiday season always has and will continue to bring up deep feelings around family, our past, our upbringing, and the emotional memories that have shaped our psyches and lives. However, rather than avoid, suppress, or deny these influences, we can truly grow as individuals by contemplating what we have been taught and told is moral, correct, or "success" and comparing that to what we FEEL these are. Separating and discarding what is not truly our own brings us closer to our central core, simplifies matters, and helps clear the way for us to make the right choices.

The Moon in Capricorn is associated with melancholy, which is the experience of feeling into the matters at hand. These feelings are important indicators that hopefully are not stuffed or numbed with alcohol or other substances in order to "celebrate." I again refer to my favorite axiom, "It's not either or. It's both and more!" If we take some time this week to contemplate or "do our homework," we can feel even better about going out to party as we'll have more clarity about ourselves, our past, and our future.

Let's all give a great welcome back to Jupiter in Aries! The planet Jupiter is associated with wisdom, truth, natural law, and the expansion of consciousness. It will transit through Aries, the sign of the warrior, protector, and initiator until May of 2023. During this transit, he will conjunct Chiron, the wounded healer, so significantly representing the current wound to the masculine nature, which stands for freedom, liberty, and human rights. I hope that this transit foretells to us that over the next few months, individuals, groups, and nations will be rising up to combat the disastrous effects of corporate and government criminal activities over the last two years (and more).

Personally, this beginning of a new twelve-year cycle, the seeds of which you have sown with feelings, thoughts, and deeds over this last year (Jupiter in Pisces), portends a growth in your sovereignty, personal power, and freedom. It is a time of renewed optimism and a good time for planning, acting, and initiating new projects, relationships, and ideas. As it is at odds (square Capricorn) with rigid, established institutions, you may experience some resistance to your assertions. That's retrograde Mars for ya! And that's Gemini too. The airy mutable sign of Gemini is not the most emotionally aware or based sign of the zodiac, so a fiery (Mars) entirely emotional (full Moon) may send us spinning and feeling a little crazy. Add to that Venus square Jupiter and chaos may reign!

The Sabian symbol gives us the key to handling this changeable/mutable/unstable energy, which is to take it as an evolutionary opportunity to mature, grow up, and become more objective, serious, grounded, determined, and deliberate in our thoughts and actions. It's really quite the symbol to show up in the sign of Gemini, as it has both Sagittarius and Capricorn overtones to it.

So if you are feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, or disoriented, know first this Moon will pass. Feel all the feelings knowing they want to be felt, have something to show/tell you about yourself, and let them go once you get it. Reflect on what began in mid-September, adjust it now, and prepare for it to come to fruition in mid-February. No need to push it.

I'm feeling that Venus opposite Mars today and sensing that we are still integrating those Scorpio/Taurus relationship eclipses and will be for some time. This opposition can bring up issues that may have been simmering beneath the surface for a while but need to be discussed.

The challenge is that Mercury is square Neptune! So be very wary of half-truths, confusion, and feelings of hopelessness that may be coming up for you. This is a time to come clean, be honest, and look at some of the dreams or ideals you had back in late March when Mercury was conjunct Neptune. At that time, some seeds were sown, and now those ideals/dreams are being tested to see if they are plausible or not.

As our relationships and many of our life experiences play out our conscious thoughts, I suggest looking inward more than trying to control or impose your will on the world these days. Mars is retrograde, after all. Stick with the mantra, sit still, and shut up not only your mouth but your mind and let Spirit descend.

As the Rocket Man video (link below) illustrates well, you may be heading off alone for now with the north node in Taurus and all this Sagittarius. While "not all who wander are lost," the archetypal image of the hero on his journey (or heroine on her journey) implies a solo, self-initiated quest that needs to be embraced by each individual alone. We can't push, force, or take others on this quest. They must make their own path to truth. One thing I didn't mention in the report is the inconjunct aspects happening between Mercury, Venus, and Uranus. These are indicative of more surprises! Like the FTX's sudden, shocking debacle, we may also get our boats rocked with unexpected news/shifts.

Just as Indiana Jones searching for the lost ark, be prepared for anything to happen, on the alert, but not dissuaded, blocked, or stopped. This life is a wild adventure, and to get the most out of it, we need to embrace the wild man/woman within once in a while, and this is one of those "whiles!" So give a hoot and a holler, get on that horse and RIDE!

So this week/weekend, until the Sun goes into Sag on Tuesday and we have a new Moon on Wednesday, repeat this mantra over and over whenever you feel like you're losing, losing it, or things are going to hell (the underworld of Scorpio). The more we center ourselves in Spirit as opposed to the ego and things/people of this world, the more able we are to let go, trust, and move on in peace, truth, and harmony.

That doesn't mean sitting back and being taken advantage of, used, or exploited, mind you! Instead, you may need to feed those fires with bold speech/action and bring down-home wisdom to the table! Sometimes, it's not about losing and letting go as much as it is about leaving and saying goodbye. Both are losses and should be felt and grieved, and thanked. It is always better to thank someone for the good times rather than blast them for the (perhaps long list of) bad times. Just know to follow your guidance sooner next time, so things finish in a timely manner rather than drag on and pull everyone down the rabbit hole.

I think it is easy to jump to some definitions of “give” and “take,” which may lead to misunderstanding this mantra. As I discussed briefly in the report, there are many types of giving and receiving. “Taking” most often refers to the Martian act of reaching out, grasping, and bringing back/in something from another “field.” However, another definition of taking can be “I’m not going to take any more of your lies.” For this week’s mantra, it may help to review your inventory regarding both definitions and see if you are taking too much that doesn’t belong to you AND if you are taking too much from someone that could qualify as “abuse.”

The same can be applied to “giving.” You may be giving away too much of your time, energy, money, or intellectual property, OR you may be giving away too much advice, judgment, “guidance,” or attitude.

Also, what I didn’t get around to discussing in the report is Leo as the fourth sign of the “fixed cross.” Completing Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius, Leo is the realm of creative self-expression, which is either opposed or complemented by the opposition of Saturn in Aquarius. Done correctly, the structure, rules, and laws of any “system” support the individual freedoms of its constituents. These unique gifts/talents/expressions begin and are developed through Taurus. Without the Taurus buildup, Leo doesn’t stand a chance and will be quickly swallowed up by Scorpio or dismissed/controlled by Aquarius. Knowing how important Taurus is, let’s focus on self-sufficiency now when the time is right!

Yes, I changed the mantra for this week after doing the Pele Report! After sleeping on all that I heard this last weekend regarding death, and the advantages of "practicing" and preparing for death, I decided it is better to "let go of all I don't need" instead of "gathering together all that I need." Particularly with the Scorpio stellium occurring this month which has to do with letting go, death, and release of the old self.

Originally, I thought of the Moon/north node/Uranus in Taurus as a gathering together, particularly concerning earth/survival/financial and material things. However, let's look at this archetype of Taurus as the value and essence of the eternal self beyond the limited 3D definition. We are each an individual expression of the "eternal sea" and are essentially never born and never die. This spiritual aspect of ourselves doesn't need to worry about surviving as it will never die. Let's tap into that eternal self today and every day to both "let it go" and "let it flow!"

A "ship" can be a metaphor for our physical body carrying our soul/spirit, a boat, plane, spacecraft, or our consciousness that carries our spirit from life to life. Keep that in mind as you listen to "Ride Captain Ride!" https://youtu.be/pKppSotWL3o

Well, this is a long-winded Pele Report! I hope my effort to connect all the various energies at this time makes sense to you. The eclipse brings in a lot of "new" energy, insight, and feelings to integrate and process. I think it is important to begin with compassion for ourselves as humans, as we are perfectly imperfect beings, all striving to evolve.

These eclipses ask us for the raw, radical truth about ourselves, our shadows, and our "self-grasping," as mentioned in The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. What these teachings have brought up for me is challenging as I spend a lot of time in my head watching, observing, sorting, judging (myself and the world), and believing. Going beyond all these into the core of my being is going beyond "mindfulness" into "heartfulness." Let's meet there!

Now, a couple more things. I don't know how clear I was that the energy/intensity is building between now and the partial solar eclipse next Tuesday. We can expect it to REALLY increase when the Sun and Venus exit pleasant Libra and enter the dragon's lair of Scorpio. I'm encouraging myself and encouraging you to raise your tolerance for intensity and not hang on thinking that "this" will be over soon and things will "go back to normal." That can lead to further stress when they don't.

Secondly, I sense that "lines will be drawn," and people/nations will take their positions with the solar eclipse, but the real shit show is gonna be the total lunar eclipse on November 8. That is when all the subconscious fears and reactions to the solar eclipse can either support or destroy the new impulses/paths conceived with the new energy that comes in with the solar eclipse.

Third, I didn't even mention that Saturn stations and goes direct on Saturday! OMG! Bad Kaypacha! He is just hanging out at 18+ degrees Aquarius from September 30 to November 12, SQUARE THE NODES AND LUNAR ECLIPSE! This indicates that choices, decisions, and actions need to be taken that break old relationship patterns so that new ways can take root and grow.

How about that mantra? Ya feeling it? How big are you? Are you ready? I'm tempted to say, "You ain't seen nothin' yet," 'cuz we're just heading into the eclipse season, where it's going to get really REAL. But it's beautiful now, this Sun/Venus traveling hand in hand through the airy skies of Libra in trine to Mars and Saturn. Time to be having those heart-to-heart talks and connect with others both of like mind and others who aren't. We can still keep our level heads about us, listen, cooperate, and grow.

This Venus/Mars trine reflects a time wherein there can be peace and understanding between the masculine and feminine. There can be mutual support and devotion that doesn't always exist. The masculine can hold, protect, and nurture the flower of the feminine, encouraging her to open up to herself and the world. At the same time, the feminine can trust and surrender to the feelings of love that make her want to open more to herself and the world.

All this is happening under the watchful and scrutinizing eye of Saturn in Aquarius. He makes it all more real, more profound, and more serious. So it is more than just "sweet nothings" being whispered in each other's ears. If we listen closely to what we are saying to the other and we listen closely to what the other is truly communicating to us, firm foundations can be laid during these times that will weather the Scorpio eclipses to come. I'm not sure if Gigi discusses it in this video or another, but this is a time of initiation. Initiation naturally and fundamentally includes some hardship, challenge, and test of spiritual knowledge, will, and grit prior to dispensing and experiencing higher worlds. Many these days, and especially in virtual technological realities, think they can access higher realms of knowledge and understanding simply, quickly, and without preparation. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

While these are indeed challenging times full of tricks and trials, let's remember that we are constantly being supported, held, and nourished by spiritual beings of the light! Let's not despair but rather know that we will be building (and can start now) a new paradigm of expanded heart forces, consciousness, joy, and light on the other side of this initiation. We are torchbearers leading the way for future generations to follow, so let's shine brightly!

Through thick and thin and highs and lows,

So yes, this is a time of chaos. Mercury, who rules both the grounded sign of Virgo and Gemini (who rules commerce), is strong as he stations direct in his own sign of Virgo. Neptune, the king of mystery, chaos, and the media is also in his home sign of Pisces, the collective unconscious. These two initially faced off with each other in late August and are back to finish what they started then. Ideally, this is ending illusions and delusions as we become conscious of what is real and what is fiction, what is true and what is false. This can be difficult, often leading to depression as Neptune dreams bump into 3D Mercury reality.

Worse than that can be the continued propagation of false realities, lies, and deception. This can be us deceiving ourselves about our true motivations, desires, and more, but it is also MSM (Main Stream Media) casting its hypnotic spell on the masses. Therefore, it is a time to watch our words, listen carefully, and not take everything we see and hear in without discernment. Hence the mantra.

If it’s one thing that astrology teaches us, it is that everyone is different. It naturally follows that each of us has a unique set of needs and approaches to relationships, which I am speaking about in this week’s Pele report. I know that it is easy to jump to conclusions and that by addressing these different relationship needs, it may appear that I am a proponent of this or against that, etc. If I did not make it clear enough in the report, I would like to emphasize that the only thing I am a proponent of is the right of each and every individual to be free to choose and express themselves however they feel most guided as long as it is not abusive and others who are involved consent. Let’s celebrate our differences rather than have them divide us and use all our relationships to discover, heal, and open ourselves even more to Spirit.

This attitude could not be supported any more strongly than with the aspects occurring this week/month. This beautiful equinox new Moon in Libra conjunct Mercury and Venus while in opposition to Jupiter and Neptune reflects excellent opportunities for us to innovate, experiment, expand, and play with our relationship boundaries in a healthy, communicative way. With courage, trust, and love, we can heal ourselves, each other, and the world which needs some major TLC (tender loving care). Break on through to the other side!

There's ways I like to do things,
But I don't always have control.
So, it's better to surrender, allow and accept,
Rather than close my mind, heart, and soul.

Alright, before we jump to conclusions, let's say this report is about redefining the image many of us carry about just what surrender is. In Hollywood cowboy and war movies, we've been shown surrender to be when the "loser" holds up a white flag and the "winner" takes all. So let's create a new term called "Selective Surrendering."

Selective Surrendering says that we can keep our power, perhaps even increase our strength, while at the same time letting go of what is no longer serving us. This can simply be an internal process of "letting go and letting God," or letting go of fear, old limiting beliefs, or a host of other personal issues.

On another level, in our relationships, it can have to do with letting go or surrendering CERTAIN expectations, fantasies, hopes, and dreams BUT NOT ALL OF THEM. In business and our social relationships, it can look like surrendering to SOME of the government overreach or our partner's unjust demands, but not giving up, throwing in the towel, or letting them run over us.

In general, at this time, we need to get beyond the extremes of "all or nothing," "in or out," and "win or lose," and see that all relationships have to do with compromising (PARTS of ourselves), cooperating, and communicating (more and more the deeper you go). So while these days may be challenging us with various crises in different parts of our lives, these crises can help us define, refine, and clarify our objectives, saving us time in the long run. So hang in there, don't give up the fort, just what's best for the good of all.

My body is a temple,

I realize that in this Pele Report, I focused upon the internal experience of self-integration necessary within these times without referencing the "work" and external conditions occurring within the collective. However, the external reality we are dealing with is not only a "health crisis" but a financial and inflation related adjustment.

Virgo and the 6th house relate to each of us inwardly aligning spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically, and also integrating ourselves into the larger world of relationships and society. So this may also be a time when we can struggle with employment, what we are doing for a living, and how we are able (or not) to survive. Is your work meaningful? Are you fulfilling your "true purpose" through your everyday routine and employment?

So yes, this week, you may face challenges in the workplace, challenges, or crises in the realm of employment. These may well be the cause or source of mental and emotional stress that needs to be felt, accepted, and "paid attention to" in order for the fears and insecurities to be released. It's time to adjust to new external realities and demands that may require letting go of old jobs, sources of income, and security. The call of evolution is asking you to reinvent yourself and your role in the world. You can do this!

If there's one thing the stars tell us this week, it is to LEARN SOMETHING! Get out there, stimulate your imagination through study and contemplation, sharing and planning, and make your dreams come true. This Mars sextile Jupiter is saying that it's time to elaborate on the seed ideas birthed at their conjunction last May 29th. Check back for any new people, plans, or visions you had at that time and develop them further.

For more insight into where to focus your energy now, you want to look at the house where the Jupiter/Mars conjunction occurred last May. Where do 3 degrees of Aries fall in your chart? Jupiter is still nearby and will be returning to that degree next January. The seeds that were planted last May and that you are now developing will bear their fruit then. Be a good farmer, and you will have a good harvest!

When it comes to karma, let's not forget GOOD karma either. The main thing about this Venus opposite Saturn is that it signals the end of the inner work and creative building up of what began at the conjunction in mid-February. You may have planted a seed(s) back then, enhanced it with the Venus Uranus conjunction in June, and now your new pearl is ready to display!

In that case, you may do more speaking your truth and not have dues to pay. In that case, good on ya mate! However, in most cases, it is not either/or as in all good or all bad. It's usually a mix. We didn't do EVERYTHING perfect, so while we may have some darn good work to show for our efforts, we probably also have some humble pie to eat or apologies to make to somebody. The oneness of creation,

Yes, there is plenty to moan and groan about! In so many ways, the world looks pretty grim. We are surrounded by dark images and bad news day after day. While there is so much "wrong" with the world, there are a number of different opinions, beliefs, and strategies put forth on the best way to deal with it. I have spoken of the evolutionary stages many times, and more info on these can be found on my website.

But for now, let it suffice for me to say that there is no one right way or thing to do, but according to your disposition, the best regular attitude and action is what I have suggested here in the Pele Report. "The best way to fight evil is to make progress toward the good," says the I Ching. What we want to do now is flood the airwaves, soundwaves, ocean waves, and all waves with beautiful, joyful, graceful, thankful, and soulful ART. We lift the vibration and heal the wound, not by focusing on the problem as much as the solution - UNITY consciousness. Try it. You'll like it!

Like a sculptor gazing upon a new stone,

Physical therapy is the best example I can give of the energy from now through the full moon. Have you ever done physical therapy after an accident or operation? Let's say with the Mars/Uranus last weekend, you got a physical "message" from the cosmos through your physical body. It might hurt, be sore, tight, or painful. The therapy is to do your exercises, stretch those muscles, and go through the pain to regain, strengthen, and get back in shape. This Mars (muscles) square Saturn (constriction) needs will force to push through.

You may have this same thing happening on the emotional, mental, or spiritual levels. The old you got blasted, or you got "upgraded" to a new, unfamiliar reality (suddenly, as Uranus is involved). You may feel traumatized and victimized if you were not the originator of the change, feel the need for it, or want it. One way or the other, as the mantra says, it will be good to apply your willpower to discipline your mind during these next couple of weeks.

Lastly, I suggest talking to your body and yourself. I know it's a little weird, but it works! And speak to it, of course, and listen to the answers! Your body and feelings can teach your mind a few things that will help you upgrade your life experience. Check it out!

Mind over matter is the name of the game,
I'm now playing on planet earth.
For nothing will stop the new spirit in me,
That's prepared and ready to birth.

Get on your mark, get set, GO! Radical self-reliance, baby! These are the days to experience this both without (in the world at large) and within (radical, authentic self-expression). This is a time period where the future comes crashing into the present, destabilizing rigid old forms to make way for more enlightened means of opening new channels to experience ourselves more fully.

This week can be likened to opening a bottle of champagne that has been corked and held in its bubbly elixir, now to be shot up and out for all to see and partake! We'll probably see events and changes in the people we know and the public at large that will raise our eyebrows and drop our jaws. Best to go with the flow and raise some eyebrows yourself rather than digging and resisting change.

As mentioned last week, there will be plenty of rules, laws, and socially imposed limitations opposing the champagne party. This is symbolized by Mercury squaring the Mars/Uranus/node conjunction and then opposing Saturn. The more you have been holding yourself back out of fear, shame, or guilt, the more frustration, fear, and challenging this time will be. In some ways, we are being called to push our limits, let go of old ideas about "this is the way it is supposed to be," and experiment with the unknown and unfamiliar. Best of luck in all you do!

When I find and express myself,
I notice there is opposition,
Rather than take it personally,
I'll become an inspiration.

So, the Moon is in her final waning phase of this month's lunar cycle that began with the new Moon in Cancer. The third quarter square occurring today (Wednesday) can be seen as the proper time to break free from social conventions and move toward a liberated state of emotional awareness.

This process is aided by her first joining Mars, then Uranus, and the Moon's north node in Taurus, the sign of self-sufficiency. The inner sacred marriage work requires that we first embrace and unconditionally accept ourselves as we are before seeking love and completion externally through relationship.

The Venus Lilith connection walking together through Cancer will be joined by the Moon herself early next week. Cancer seeks emotional self-security, so we can see an emphasis here and now placed upon us to become our own mother, father, and lover. Lilith represents the deepest truth within us regarding our lunar, soul nature that has been suppressed and thereby distorted. This results in shadow projections and anger, which is hard to integrate into our total sense of self.

The key that Lilith offers us calls us to recognize and integrate these fragmented parts of ourselves without guilt, blame, and shame. Realizing that these negative emotions result from not truly holding and accepting ourselves, we can push through our fears and resistance to break free and own our most primal, instinctive needs and desires, thereby releasing the anger and pent-up emotions to dissolve the anger that is the result of suppression. Let the good times roll!

When I’m afraid I need to be still,
And breathe long, slow, and deep.
Look into my soul as only it knows,
The truth that will set me free.

I’ve been contemplating fear a little today as the Sun in Cancer opposes the full Moon in Capricorn, forming a T-square with Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aries. In my upbringing, at least, being afraid was almost a shameful, wimpy weakness for girls and babies. Come to think of it, it was worse than being wrong, stupid, “bad,” a jerk, or just about anything. It was/is right up there with being “needy.” How about that? There’s a stigma around fear (and neediness, both Cancer related) and yet, being human is to have fear and emotional needs. Not only that, but the older I get, the more I see my fear and emotional needs as keys to unlocking big, heavy doors of perception into my deepest true self.

With all the conspiracy theories going around these days, I could throw another one out there that would be the intentional shaming of fears, feelings, and the feminine as a means to dumb down, devolve, and keep the population ignorant. Ha ha! Now, whether it has been intentional or just a byproduct of the male-dominated patriarchal conditioning we have all had, it’s perhaps time to take another look at these signposts on the road to self-knowledge (evolution), more as gifts, lights, and guides than liabilities. Now wouldn’t that change the conversation?

We could almost throw fears into Scorpio’s territory of the taboo to join money, sex, and death. These are the big elephants in the room that cause discomfort when brought into the conversation. So, this week I suggest you give it a shot. Talk about some fears and needs, go around the circle, and see what comes up. I’ll bet a lot of connection, compassion, and closeness result!

I’d rather use my feelings,
To inform and guide my thoughts,
Than use my mind to control and suppress,
My emotions as I have been taught.

The energy is waxing (increasing) along with the Moon as she squares the Sun today and continues on her journey to become full next Wednesday. She traverses the “relationship signs” of Libra and then Scorpio before heading upward and outward to Sag and Capricorn. This is a week of working, talking, and processing our relationships, what they are about, why, and how to best grow within or without them. It is a time of listening both to what others share and our inner drummer and finding where the best harmony resounds.

With social distancing and other measures being put in place to separate us, we need to strive even harder for the real, human, emotional connections that give meaning, joy, and purpose to our lives. The aspects for this week say to slow down, take it easy, and reflect on what is most important to you. You may find that you have changed, are changing, and long for more change in your life. If this is the case, it will be helpful to remember that safety and security are found first through cultivating a stronger relationship with yourself, your soul, and Spirit than with any material, temporary, earthly condition. You’ve got this!

I’m excited to have made it to Europe in order to meet with circles of people to celebrate ourselves, life, and connection in real-time. As I mention in the report, time in silence with yourself, time in nature, and time with friends and family contribute more to peace of mind, growth, and evolution than any other pastime. I hope you plan a local full Moon ceremony with all your like-minded friends, sing, chant, dance, and enjoy the simple (Mars in Taurus) pleasures that make life worth living! Feel those feelings and share them with love.
