Felt is a little community located between Boise City, Oklahoma and Clayton, New Mexico. On Hwy. 412/64
Large R.V. parking
Picknick tables with grills.
Valt toilet.
Trash bin.
I did NOT see any water spigots.
Cell phone service is poor to not available in the park, but good on the main hyway.

So if that is not an issue for you it's a great free, clean, safe, quiet, place to park
for the night.

Guymon is a small town in the middle of the Oklahoma panhandle. A Welcome Center located on Hwy. 412 allows overnight parking.

There are shaded picknick tables with grills, trashcans, dump-station, potable water, restrooms with showers, skate park, large parking areas for R.V.'s with some shaded spots.

Also a Welcome / Information
Center open 8a - 5p
Mon. - Fri

Guymon does have a
24 hour Walmart Supercenter that allows overnight parking as of the date of this post.

I passed through Little Rock, Arkansas and I need a campsite for the night.
I check out an App called Free Campsite's and find Cyress Creek Campground

The reviews are Not great but I decide to check it out anyway.

It's not as bad as expected.
It is rather run down. Their are NO amenities other than a boat launch.

But all I need is Free, Shade, and Quiet. It has a nice lake view. And just a few locals launching boats.

It's fine for one or two nights
of camping.

I start out in one state and am in another state in a matter of minutes.

Had fun exploring the outside grounds dedicated to Elvis Presley's Birthplace.
Located in Tupelo, Mississippi

Wander Van goes to Georgia's historic downtown.
Some highlights are:
A 150 year old fountain.
The place of the bench where "Forest Gump" sat eating a box of chocolates. The actual bench has been removed but the spot is now forever infamous.
Mercer House - The infamous John Mercer, played by Kevin Spacey in:
"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"

And all the beautiful colors and textures of the gardens.
Along with some beautiful
architecture.

All in all a fascinating day!

Wander Van stops at Mississippi Welcome Center
Rest Area - I-22 North Bound
Sits atop a hill, with a wooded backyard, covered picnic tables and hand pump water spigots. Water is drinkable with a fresh taste.
Inside find a very charming display of antiques, photos, furniture, and Elvis fans memorabilia.

Friendly and helpful staff.
Just a lovely place to rest and walk the pets.

Located on Hwy. 64 crossing the Alligator River Refuge
Manteo, North Carolina

A nice peaceful and serene place to stop, use a restroom, stretch and take a walk on the Charles Kuralt foot trail.
The trail is paved and wheelchair accessible.

A side parking lot big enough for R.V's too.

The refuge is open during daylight hours.

A favorite park of mine in the Houston Bay Area 😍
Sylvan Beach Park has a lot to offer.
Sandy beach area for lounging and swimming. Fishing pier with a bait shop and other supplies. Picknick tables and grills. A very nice playground for the kids. Skate Park for the older kids. Restrooms at each end of the park.
All ages will enjoy the views and amenities of this park
