This California-base brewery (or Bruery, as it likes to call itself) creates distinctive brews with little regard to beer styles. If it's good, they sell it. Mischief Belgian Golden Strong Ale has citrus highlights, yet still manages a hint of pine and stone fruit.

A fine representative of Texas bourbon, Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Single Barrel is toffee and leather goodness on the front with rich spice on the finish. #b2w #itsjustbourbon #garrisonbrothers

Born in a seasoned brewery in Wisconsin, Lakefront Barrel Aged Pumpkin Imperial Stout is really pumpkin pie in a bottle. These guys nailed it. Aging is in brandy barrels. The end result is 13.4% of pure deliciousness

This wonderful 10-year-old bourbon treats the tongue to dry, leathery, oak goodness. There's some spice and a little cherry, too. Bib & Tucker 10-Year is distilled in Tennessee. But, we won't hold that against it.

Gaining personality for 10 years in Barley's aging room, this Weyerbacher Insantiy Barleywine was somewhere between 11% and 13% ABV when it went into the keg. First aged in bourbon barrels and then left in Barley's aging room to resolve itself, this amazing brew drinks like a 7% beer.

One of the beers that helped birth craft brewing in California and the rest of the United States. It's Anchor Porter. As pure a porter as there is. Notes of roasted coffee in the front and a dry bready finish. Now, that's a porter!

A more traditional tequila than Clase Azul or Julio 1942, G4 Extra Anejo blasts you with some sweet agave notes up front before settling back for some spiciness on the back of your tongue. More than three years aging in bourbon barrels, it is a unique, traditional anejo.

This is what you get when two life-long buddies decide to dump their careers and make some bourbon. It's Woodinville Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Casks. It may be from Washington state, but it's well crafted offering loads of flavor.

It may not be Scotch Whisky, but it's about as close as you are going to get from a Virginia-based distillery. It's Virginia Distillery's Brewers Batch Virginia Highland Whisky. It's been aged in ale barrels. Fairly light on the tongue with a rich, long-lasting finish.

A delicious Tennessee whiskey, Uncle Nearest 1856 has a wonderful backstory, which is reason enough to take a closer look at it. Beyond the history, it's a traditional Tennessee whiskey with some toffee notes up front, a little charcoal in the middle and some spice on the finish. #beer2whiskey

We draw on the capable abilities of the good folks at Prairie Artisan Ale in Oklahoma for this sour. It's Prairie Artisan Rainbow Sherbet Sour Ale. Not eye-squinting sour, but seriously tart, this 5.2% beer probably rocks sour lovers.
