The Police Activity channel on YouTube recently published new video footage where Rodney Applewhite (a black man) attempted to steal a Police Officer's handgun. After some investigative work, it appears that Rodney Applewhite actually had both a Class 6 and Class 3 felony conviction in the State of Indiana. Rodney was involved in planning and executing an armed robbery, where two of his accomplices used weapons (a gun and a rod) to attack a drug dealer's private property and steal from him.

After attempting to steal the Police Officer's service weapon, the other Officer responded in self-defense and shot twice at Rodney. As a direct result of his actions, Rodney is now dead.
