Lots of people hate capitalism. They want socialism instead.

They say capitalism hurts the poor. That's just not true.

Johan Norberg explains how capitalism saves lives and why socialism always fails.

Activists suggest that all “colonized” land should be returned to the previous owners. Is it really that simple? Michael Knowles has thoughts.

In May 2021, the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation band in Kamloops, British Columbia, published a shocking press release that shook the nation to its core.

The claim: “the confirmation of the remains of 215 children who were students of the Kamloops Indian Residential School” had been discovered.

On one hand, the claim served as a reminder of a dark chapter in Canada's history. A time when Indigenous children were snatched from their homes, forced to live in government-mandated church-run residential schools, where some suffered from poor living conditions and even abuse.

On the other hand, the claim became the catalyst for divisive outrage and a national identity of shame that likely led to the vandalism and burning of over 60 Christian places of worship across the country.

But what if you discovered that much of the rage and shame stemming from the claim that 215 children were buried at the Kamloops Indian Residential School wasn't rooted in the whole truth? That even now, over a year later, not a single body has been found in the apple orchard where many Canadians still believe the remains of these children lie?

In this new documentary, Rebel News reporters Drea Humphrey and Matt Brevner take you on an investigative journey to uncover the truth about a story that misled a nation, the truth about what is actually known about what lies beneath the soil at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.

For whatever reason, America’s health officials haven’t seemed publicly interested in answering a crucial question: How many illnesses and deaths can be attributed to COVID versus the vaccines or some combination? Today, we look at shocking and graphic evidence that independent researchers are trying to make sense of, in the absence of helpful guidance from the usual authorities: a mysterious fibrous material being discovered in the veins and arteries of the dead. A caution: some of the images in our report are graphic.

Joseph Flaherty (born Joseph O'Flaherty, June 21, 1941 – April 1, 2024) was an American actor, writer, and comedian. He is best known for his work on the Canadian sketch comedy SCTV

Robert Lee Frost (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963) was an American poet. His work was initially published in England before it was published in the United States. Known for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech, Frost frequently wrote about settings from rural life in New England in the early 20th century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical themes.

Frequently honored during his lifetime, Frost is the only poet to receive four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry. He became one of America's rare "public literary figures, almost an artistic institution". He was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1960 for his poetic works. On July 22, 1961, Frost was named poet laureate of Vermont.

Beauty can be consoling, disturbing, sacred, profane; it can be exhilarating, appealing, inspiring, chilling. It can affect us in an unlimited variety of ways. Yet it is never viewed with indifference. In this Very Short Introduction, the renowned philosopher Roger Scruton explores the concept of beauty, asking what makes an object--either in art, in nature, or the human form--beautiful, and examining how we can compare differing judgments of beauty when it is evident all around us that our tastes vary so widely. Is there a right judgment to be made about beauty? Is it right to say there is more beauty in a classical temple than a concrete office block, more in a Rembrandt than in an Andy Warhol Campbell Soup Can? Forthright and thought-provoking, and as accessible as it is intellectually rigorous, this introduction to the philosophy of beauty draws conclusions that some may find controversial, but, as Scruton shows, help us to find greater sense of meaning in the beautiful objects that fill our lives.

They’re still claiming the Covid vax is safe and effective. Yet somehow Dr. Pierre Kory treats hundreds of patients who’ve been badly injured by it. Why is no one in the public health establishment paying attention?

From the author of Irreversible Damage, an investigation into a mental health industry that is harming, not healing, American children

In virtually every way that can be measured, Gen Z’s mental health is worse than that of previous generations. Youth suicide rates are climbing, antidepressant prescriptions for children are common, and the proliferation of mental health diagnoses has not helped the staggering number of kids who are lonely, lost, sad and fearful of growing up. What’s gone wrong with America’s youth?

In Bad Therapy, bestselling investigative journalist Abigail Shrier argues that the problem isn’t the kids—it’s the mental health experts. Drawing on hundreds of interviews with child psychologists, parents, teachers, and young people, Shrier explores the ways the mental health industry has transformed the way we teach, treat, discipline, and even talk to our kids. She reveals that most of the therapeutic approaches have serious side effects and few proven benefits. Among her unsettling findings:

Talk therapy can induce rumination, trapping children in cycles of anxiety and depression
Social Emotional Learning handicaps our most vulnerable children, in both public schools and private
“Gentle parenting” can encourage emotional turbulence – even violence – in children as they lash out, desperate for an adult in charge

Mental health care can be lifesaving when properly applied to children with severe needs, but for the typical child, the cure can be worse than the disease. Bad Therapy is a must-read for anyone questioning why our efforts to bolster America’s kids have backfired—and what it will take for parents to lead a turnaround.

Most people think of New Jersey as a suburban-industrial corridor that runs between New York and Philadelphia. Yet in the low center of the state is a near wilderness, larger than most national parks, which has been known since the seventeenth century as the Pine Barrens.

The term refers to the predominant trees in the vast forests that cover the area and to the quality of the soils below, which are too sandy and acid to be good for farming. On all sides, however, developments of one kind or another have gradually moved in, so that now the central and integral forest is reduced to about a thousand square miles. Although New Jersey has the heaviest population density of any state, huge segments of the Pine Barrens remain uninhabited. The few people who dwell in the region, the "Pineys," are little known and often misunderstood. Here McPhee uses his uncanny skills as a journalist to explore the history of the region and describe the people "and their distinctive folklore" who call it home.

The Texas blackouts of 2021 were just the beginning...

Juice: Power, Politics, And The Grid is a five-part documentary series produced by two Austin-based filmmakers, Tyson Culver and Robert Bryce, that follows the success of their first film: Juice: How Electricity Explains the World, which is now available on streaming platforms around the world.

The series takes viewers from Texas to Tokyo to expose the perils facing our electric grid. It shows how we can improve the reliability of our most important energy network and address climate change by embracing nuclear energy.

Juice: Power, Politics & The Grid features interviews with top thought leaders, including historian Patty Limerick, political scientist Roger Pielke Jr., journalist Michael Shellenberger, civil rights leader Robert Apodaca, World Nuclear Association director Sama Bilbao, Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper, Canadian nuclear activist Chris Keefer, author Meredith Angwin, former IEA director Nobuo Tanaka, Campaign for a Green Nuclear Deal founder Madi Hilly, and many others.

While offering a sober assessment of the challenges facing the $5 trillion-per-year global electricity business, the series concludes with a hopeful look at the future — and the future of climate change — by featuring the activists who are helping fuel renewed interest and investment in nuclear power here in the U.S. and around the globe.

For thousands of years, farming was driven by the muscle of either animals or humans. With the invention of the steam engine, industrialists brought steam power to farms. The inventions of the reaper and steel plow began a rush to mechanize farming. In the early 20th century, hundreds of companies were experimenting with vehicles to bring power farming to agriculture. By 1929, Deere, Ford and International Harvester were among the few dozen companies that remained, but the tractor form we recognize today had finally emerged and began rapidly replacing muscle as the primary source of power on the farm.

Dr Keith Ablow is a psychiatrist who spent years on Fox News. He also treated Hunter Biden. Armed agents raided his office, took his patient records as well as Hunter's laptop, and never charged him with a crime. What was this about? He talks about it for the first time.

Based on the book The Plastics Paradox, Dr. DeArmitt explains what science tells us about plastics and the environment. It turns out that most of what we have been told is untrue, when you take the time to check the facts. This webinar informs the audience, so that we can start making wise decisions that help the environment. If you care then please watch this, or your actions will end up doing more harm that good. Reducing materials is green, reusing materials is green but replacing plastics harms the environment leading to 3-4x more waste, far more CO2, more energy used etc.. The science is clear - if you are against plastics, you are harming the environment.

This webinar was given for the SPE to a live audience of around 300 people in 2020.

We are told that plastics cause a waste problem but in fact plastics massively reduce overall waste as it takes 3-4lb of alternative materials to replace 1lb of plastic. Replacing plastics means generating far more waste.

We are told that plastics take 1000 years to degrade but there's no evidence for that. In fact, experience show that a plastic grocery bag disintegrates in less than one year outdoors. Standard plastics can degrade easily so there's no need to replace them with degradable materials.

We've been told that plastics cause litter but studies prove that people cause litter, not the materials. This needs to be addressed through human behaviour change and regulations.

We have been led to believe that microplastics are dangerous but the science shows the exact opposite. In fact much of the science is junk that should never have been published.

The list goes on! Find out why you have been misled and what to do about it!

When a congressman said a “socialist like Hitler," another Congressman said, “I… get offended when you compare socialists to Nazis.”

But they do have lots in common.

“Both replace market decision-making with command and control,” explains economist Ben Powell.

Bald & Bankrupt's latest video chillingly highlights the demise of British towns. Instead of boarding up houses, councils are now disguising the decline by painting on fake windows, curtains and doors.
