this quote from John himself from the liner notes of the album.
"As a child, a neighborhood kid who was always in trouble chose me for a friend. His brothers pushed him around a lot, and his mother generally ignored him. Years later as a teenager, still always in trouble, he ended up in Juvenile Court and the prosecutor decided to tell the court and my friend, that his father was his father, but his mother was his oldest sister. No wonder he was always in trouble". ~John Prine

Lots of crap happening everywhere.

Serious enquiries only please.

My take on the state of our beautiful country.

The full moon rises.

There’s no doubt my granddaughter is a better drummer than me.
My teacher threw his hands in the air and said he can’t teach me anymore. At first I thought he was envious of my skills, apparently I was wrong.

Sometimes I just like to go out and cut loose a bit.

My version of Wildwood Flower. There are many renditions of this Maud Irving lyric.

Sunrise and sunset on these prairies remind me so much of home, where I used to watch the the sun rise from and fall into the ocean.

My rendition of my favourite Dire Straits song. Mark Knopfler has an amazing guitar playing style that influenced me as well.

Another powerful influence on the direction my musical endeavours. John Prine showed me the beauty of simplicity in lyrics and musical stylings. I hope he is ok with my rendition of these lyrics.

This is my version of another favourite of mine by Gordon Lightfoot. I feel your absence.

This was my favourite day job. More a labour of love than anything. Unfortunately, It wasn't a feasible operation. The local economy and a lack of focus on finances were a rough road to the demise of the company. Written and produced by Music And Musings.

This favourite of mine was first released in 1969 for his Sit Down Young Stranger album. In 1975 it appeared in the Canadian movie Paperback Hero. The movie was filmed in Delisle, Saskatchewan.

Thank you Mr. Lightfoot for your catalogue of work from your career of writing and composing.

Godspeed Gordie. You are the reason I started playing guitar in 1971. I will continue to honour your legacy.

Some say this story is based on actual events. Some say it is all rubbish. Maybe it's a bit of both.

Early morning visitor, looking for a handout. It would never get one from me.
This little fox was out making its' morning rounds. We are not supposed to give them anything but obviously some folks did. That’s why it would allow me so close. It would leave disappointed.

Soon there will be none left...If we allow it. Some very powerful and wealthy people want all the land.

This goes out to fishermen everywhere.
Man Called Doyle was written by a Canadian Poet Named Howard Grace. I discovered it in 1994 and knew right away it should be made into an A Cappella sea shanty. The still photos are my own, taken at St. George's Bay, Nova Scotia. The video clips comes from Associated Screen News Limited.

This is the difference between cat and a dog seeing you for the first time in several months.

Thank you for the support. Feel free to share any of my work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

My final time asking this question.

Merry Christmas Everyone.
Here's hoping the new year will be a good one.

My version of yet another beautiful song for the season.
