More bizarre chanting. This time it went on all through the night. Heard them around 8 pm and when I got back around 10-11ish they were still there doing their weird thing.

A fast Chinese numbers signal or "Chinese Robot" made a cameo in the background of a Chinese military exercise documentary from the 1980s or 1990s. Radio Zhizn station ID, with public service announcements for the surrender radio frequency 149.200khz (Volga), and from an unnamed American volunteer in Donbass*. The second part, an electronic dance music, mixed with messages by the station aimed at Ukrainian listeners particularly soldiers to surrender. Radio Zhizn or Life Radio is a FM station in Energodar but seems to have other stations (or transferred to) in Lugansk, Kharkov, and Kherson. Once again these videos are for educational awareness purposes.

Additional Info
The (bumper) music came out after the Battle of Mariupol during the mass surrender of AFU forces. The American volunteer was likely one of foreign volunteers in the War in Donbass 2014-2022. His recording was probably before Russia attacked Ukraine. He might be one of Russell "Texas" Bentley's men because he recruited many Americans to join the pro-Russian separatists. Bentley also associated the war with globalism and the new world order.

This makes sense because Bentley was also active in a separatist radio station in Donetsk, Radio Kometa FM as "Radio Free Donbass" which I featured in 2016. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXs4_glzpak

A Russian BTR armored personnel carrier with a P.A. system installed announcing to Ukrainian soldiers to cease fighting and leave Avdiivka/Avdeyevka as the city capitulates to the Russian forces. The Ukrainians particularly those who are trapped in the frontline are urged to contact the radio frequency 149.200 kHz 'VOLGA' if they want to surrender.

National Unity Radio clandestine radio program transmitting from Taiwan aimed at North Korea being jammed.
"National Unity Radio is produced by Unification Media Group, which is based in Seoul in South Korea. The station purports to be a non-governmental organization (NGO), however, it is believed this group is in fact funded by U.S. Congress." - https://vk5pas.org/2021/10/26/national-unity-radio-9475-khz/

Theyre still going strong sometimes for hours just doing this odd thing called frequency bandracing. I'm not really sure what its for. Using websdr with antenna located in the Philippines c/o Radyo Amateurista Isla de Negros Inc http://dx6ran.ddns.net:8073/.

A new oddity that surfaced during Russia's military operation in Ukraine and has similar purpose as the Japanese Slot Machine XSL that transmits data. I noticed there were two of these running at the same time (probably more) just like the Japanese XSL.

Tuned in to some BEARNET comms on 6552kHz shortwave around 0100utc. Russian strategic bomber encrypted radio transmission.

Japanese war song, Senyu no Ikotsu wo Daite 戦友の遺骨を抱いて, dedicated to the capture of Singapore by Imperial Japanese forces during the Second World War. This original version was deemed too dark and melancholic and it was remade with a more jovial rendition. That version, which carried a more pop song melody, is more well known to the public.

**Russian Strategic Bomber High Frequency Voice Net active on 4372 Kilohertz USB, 5833 Kilohertz USB and 8090 Kilohertz USB at 0001 UTC**. Could not hear it on the other two frequencies. This went on and on for how long I am not sure but coordinated airstrikes were conducted in various regions in Ukraine today including Kharkov and Kiev and allegedly this was part of their radio communication.

Despite its regularity in the shortwave bands V13 or ‘New Star’ remains a very mysterious numbers station because there is very little information about it. Believed to be around since the 1970s it is probably among the longest running numbers stations now. Presumed to be transmitting from Taiwan New Star sends coded number messages for pro-ROC spies inside the People’s Republic of China.

One of the popular numbers stations, G3 was a regular broadcaster during the height of the Cold War and was heard around Europe. It made a quick exit a few months after the demolition of the Berlin Wall...

[3]"Interesting Footnote. The thawing of the "Cold War", initiated by Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, which lead to the Brussels conference of world powers in November 1990, finally silenced the East German numbers stations on the evening of Wednesday, 9 May, 1990, when final messages were sent out to agents in the field. As the West German DPA news agency reported;

"They were always preceded by a gong being struck several times. Then on shortwave, a frequency of 3220 kHz, (really 3258kHz) one heard a synthetic voice speaking in a metallic tone: eg. one, seven, five, three, eight, combinations of numbers in groups of five conveying coded news from East Berlin to agents in the FGR and neighbouring foreign countries. Once again the routine broadcast was expected on Thursday evening by the FGR counter intelligence service, but it never came. The voice of espionage has fallen silent."

Also known as The Spanish Lady, the V02 'Atencion' numbers started its operation in the 1960s during the tense period between the United States and the Soviet-backed Cuba. V02 disappeared in the shortwave bands in the early 2010s to be replaced by another numbers station, HM01 'Voce de la Chica'. The arrests of the Cuban Five and the DGI mole, Ana Montes contributed to the awareness of these numbers stations' operators and their use.

Cuba operates several other numbers stations. The noise heard before and after the numbers are digital mode of a numbers station also from Cuba.

Vintage interval signals from underground (pirate) radio stations believed to be from the USSR, China or from Western agencies condemned to be 'counter-revolutionary'. These stations came around the Sino-Soviet split period, with the detonation of China's first atomic weapon, the Cultural Revolution and later with the Chinese political reforms. They broadcast "black propaganda" that were subversive and openly hostile to the Chinese government and leaders. Radio programs usually only 10-15 minutes long believed to be coming somewhere in the mainland might have been transmitting from the South China sea by boat or in nearby Russia and Taiwan. Broadcasters are either political dissidents who escaped the purge, rightists, exiles, and disgruntled PLA officers. Some stations could have been Vietnamese operatives backed by the KGB, or Kuomintang agents backed by the CIA, as pointed out by some media monitoring agencies.

These broadcasts hoped to convince the average Chinese listener to participate in counter-revolutionary activities and overthrow the government or at least make them believe such a movement exists. It might also be Western intelligence agencies exploiting the rift between China and Russia.

Radio broadcasts were assisted by various other psychological warfare methods found here: http://www.psywarrior.com/NationalistChinesePropaganda.html These and radio operations are not necessarily related.

During the Sino-Soviet Split USSR and the PRC accused each other of betraying the Marxist-Leninist platform for various compromises they have had with the West.

The stations went inactive during Mikhail Gorbachev’s visit to China and the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989.

Note the obvious sound effects I added there to serve as segue for the actual recorded broadcast. This is also to compliment information segments.

As for what the broadcasters are saying, they're announcing the station ID with minor derivations and repeatitions like "This is Spark! This is Spark! This is Spark!", "This is the New (Voice) of the People's Liberation Army" or "This is the Fighters."

Szabad Kossuth Rádió (Free Kossuth Radio) reiterates Imre Nagy's radio announcement regarding the Soviet invasion that was a response to the uprising; the attempt by the Hungarians to free themselves of USSR control. Magyar Rádió operating as Szabad Kossuth Rádió Budapest was heard in several countries operating 'underground' via shortwave making the world aware of what was going on and also to plea for Western assistance. While the initial phase of this 'leaderless' revolution was somewhat successful, by toppling the Soviet-backed government, Western assistance never came and the revolution was ultimately crushed when Soviet armed forces invaded the country. The revolt gave the Soviet Union an excuse to impose repressive policies in Hungary and the rest of the Eastern Bloc states but it also awakened many to the chance of fighting back against a totalitarian regime something that culminated itself during the anticommunist revolutions throughout Europe in the 1980s.
