Hey youtube,

Just wanted to quickly review the 2023 harvest and give you an Idea of how much the plants yielded. (Sorry I took so long to upload this!)

All the plants got pollinated so I didn't bother to dry trim them like usual

Overall the first meltdown yielded the least. It was one of the smallest plants of the year, but was healthy throughout the grow and produced some beautiful buds. Flavor and smell were of lime. slightly citric in nature, but not of lemon or orange.

The second meltdown was also healthy throughout it's grow, but was noticeably bigger and more vigorous than the first meltdown. This plant finished up first and displayed some slight purpling of the calyxs toward the end of her life cycle. Flavor was also of lime, but less citric and more floral & perfumy. Appears more trichome laden than the first meltdown

The greasy spoon produced better than initially expected. Very resinous, smelling sour and earthy almost luke coffee and skunk. Structure was sativa, but bulbous bud shape resembled a hybrid. One of the most potent plants of the year.

The skittle mittens was also highly resinous, maybe even moreso that the greesy spoon. Structure was very thin and lanky. Smell and flavor was the most unique. Very difficult to describe , but reminds me of soap, menthol, air freshener, and latex gloves. Definitely the most unique and best smelling plant of the year. She was also the tallest plant of the year.

All in all, I really like all four aforementioned plants, would definitely consider growing each strain again, and would recommend them highly.

Both strawberry cough plants took the longest to mature. The second one matured a couple weeks earlier and had a slightly denser bud formation than the first. Overall, both plants were underwhelming. They both were too fluffy for my personal preference and displayed low amounts of resin. I didn't bother to process them and instead plan to create bubble hash in the future after I invest in a portable washi..

Hey Youtube, sorry for the late upload. This week's update is technically two in one.

Most of the plants have been harvested at this point. The big Meltdown was the first to be harvested, then the Skittle Mittens, then the smaller Meltdown, and then the Greasy Spoon. I still have to finish harvesting the top colas of the Skittle Mittens, but besides that only the Strawberry Cough x Strawberry Candy plants remain to be harvested

Today, I'm talking about my challenges growing in 16 ounce containers and what I'm learning from my difficulties.

I tried to premix a complete organic soil that was intending to feed my plants for the entire grow, but this didn't work out. Some of the fertilizer was available initially, but most of it needed to be be broken down by the soil before it could be used by my plants. I watered these plants with tap water without letting the water sit for a day or two to let the chlorine volatilize and break down. Either the chlorinated water killed what little life my soil had or my compost was low quality so most of the organic fertilizers present in my soil were unable to be processed into readily available forms.

The next time I try this challenge, I will skip the compost entirely, and rely mainly on fast acting fertilizers like chelated or water soluble fertilizers which should immediately be available for uptake.

Hey everyone, August is finally here. It's been one month since my last garden update. In this quick tour, I briefly discuss the growth habits of each of the plants, my future plans in terms of cropping and pruning, and the previous month's weather.

I hope everyone is doing well. Next update will be mid august in 2 weeks. See ya then! Peace

My Review
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I'm reviewing humble pie. This strain was created by Dungeon Vault Genetics. This strain was created by crossing Cherry Pie with Grandpa's breath. My sample of cherry pie seemed to be dried to quickly, because the smell and flavor was slightly grassy. There was a slight funk and skunky undertone. Overall my experience with humble pie was average to below average. I think there may be better strains for your money. Perhaps I will try this strain again in the future, but as of now, I cannot recommend.

It's the first week of July in the garden. In the last week, I placed some metal wire fencing around each of the plants to control growth. The fencing is about 3 feet in diameter. Ever two weeks, I like to come out and prune the canopies and pull new growth through the fencing. Next update will be either in 2 weeks or a month. Peace

It's been 28 days since germination. After 7 days one of the six seedling had still not emerged from it's husk so I had to plant another seed to take its place.

The perlite + peat moss blend I used for the seed starter tray seemed to hamper my seeds. After transplanting to the 16oz beer cups, and adding new potting soil mix, the plants seed to be growing faster.

Just showing a quick video of my outdoor cannabis garden. I'm growing four plants. Before planting, I amended the soil with compost, various organic amendments, and fungi. I also applied compost and some amendments to the base of each plant. Next update will probably be in July . Peace

I plan on adding some fencing around the plants so before then, I wanted to add some compost and amendments to the base of each of my plants.

I'm excited to try the 16oz beer cup challenge once again! I decided to transplant my seedlings from a damp paper towel to small seed starter trays. I could have transplanted directly into the beer cup, but i want to stagger the growth of the roots .I could have left the seedlings inside the ziplock bag for another day or so to fully sprout, but the starter trays are too shallow for me to wait

Peach Kush Strain Review - Before You Buy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This week I'm reviewing a unique and rare strain called Peach Kush. this strain was created by Alien Genetics who crossed Topanga Pure Kush, triangle Kush, and peach to create this indica leaning hybrid.. If you're not sure whether to buy this strain, I would rate it about 8/10. My sample smelled like sprite remix and looked to have good trichome production. The smoke was smooth, but not not as flavorful as the smell might lead you to think. . The smoke tasted of limes., but I couldn't taste any peach flavor. The effects only seemed to set in after 10-15 minutes, but were not overly powerful. In conclusion, if you enjoy trying unique terpenes and are not overly concerned with the buying the strongest medicine, then I would recommend.

Peach Kush Final Score
---------------------------------------
How much bag appeal did the strain have:________8/10
How good was the smell :_______________________ 9/10
How strong is the smell: _______________________7.5/10
How tasty was the smoke: ______________________7/10
How smooth was the smoke: __________________9.5/10
How powerful was the strain: ___________________ 7/10

Total score = 48/6

Strain Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peach Kush is a rare indica-dominant hybrid with a good uplifting effect that gives focus. It can help treat chronic pain, depression, muscle spasms and nerve damage. Its peach cobbler aroma is matched by a sweet and spicy taste. The plant boasts dark olive green buds that are dense, long, shaped like peppers and carry furry fire orange hairs and tiny milky crystals. Peach Kush strain is recommended for evening use.

This week I tried doing my first garden time-lapse. I had meant to upload this on Monday, but I was having difficulty with editing software. The plants grew a lot this week, with most plants showing signs of pre-flower. I wasn't expecting my plants to start flowering so soon, but I'm happy. So far, one plant had to be removed due to it being male. There may be more, but so far the other 5 plants seem to look female. I will upload next week's update on Monday. Thanks for tuning in!

Cannabis should not lose its smell at any point if the drying or curing stage. If your buds lose their smell, that's your signal something is wrong. Usually a loss of smell indicates an overabundance of humidity and/or lack of air respiration. The buds and stems are still alive in the days following being cut. If you put buds that still have a high moisture content into an anaerobic environment, they won't be able to respire and continue processing sugars and chlorophyll, and they'll lose their smell and be at a high risk of mold attacking them

Jarring is meant to slowly siphon moisture from the core of the buds. This is achieved by letting the humidity of the closed environment equalize then opening the jar to let out the humid air, and let in drier air. If you cut off the air too soon, you're wasting days that you potentially could have slow dried and stretched out your plant's senescence: a process that helps degrade nitrogen and other compounds so if your jars read higher than around 62-64 relative humidity then you may have jarred them too soon.

As long as your buds have some airflow and moisture left in the stem then you can extend the drying process. If you dry your buds slowly and carefully over a long period of time (7-14ish days), you can get to the perfect internal humidity without ever needing to completely restrict air flow and prematurely go into an anaerobic environment. You want to stretch out the drying process of the plant so it has time to metabolize and ultimately become smoother and more flavorful. A slow dry should seamlessly transition into curing. Once the initial drying is complete, you can seal your buds up and the relative humidity will be perfect for curing and you won't need to open your jars out of fear of mold.

Always check the top flowers especially as the pad sites become more dense. Caterpillars love to hide in between the bud sites, eating the plant and pooping which creates the perfect environment for mold to grow and destroy your crop. Always check early!

Harvested my third plant today. This strain was Amnesia ViP by VIP Seeds. This strain had the highest resin production of all the 3 plants in the grow tent. Smells tropical and of sandalwood. The smoke is intoxicating and powerful. Energizing, but difficult to focus. I prefer different flavor profiles, but would still recommend if you like slightly peppery smokes

Harvested my second plant today. This plant gave me problems throughout the grow, but the nugs were surprisingly potent. Smoke was very sedative leading to a deep restful sleep. Would probably not grow again
