This is a song that was written while out of state, taking care of my dying father.

The entire family had up and left him for dead, once the mule stopped being able to work...
Myself, with little to no communication with my father for the previous 5+ years due to his alcoholism, put my life on hold to go stay with him as his caretaker as he passed due to that alcoholism, and so he wouldn't die alone. It was a very enlightening experience. I learned alot about the man that gave me so much, yet so little. The man I had previously written out of my life.

At the end of the day, your father is your father, and you owe him your life. The least I could do was give him company and closure until his inevitable demise. The songs title is named after HIS mother, Mary - who just like everyone else, abandoned him and moved away when he got too sick to benefit her.

But enough rambling about the past. Here is my live acoustic rendition of "Mother Mary"

My son was SUPER into Big Hero 6 when it came out, and for years after. I couldn't help but notice that his "handshake" reminded me of something from years back, so i made this little snippit! Ladies and Gents, I present : Bae Max! (The farting girlfriend from gym class )

I never once in my life thought I would cover a Slipknot song, but life works in mysterious ways! This was an extremely fun video to make. I tried to keep the song CLOSE to the original. I'm no Corey Taylor by any means, but had a blast regardless!

We all battle demons. We all have our struggles. When this album released it seemed like most "Fans" hated this album.
I, on the other hand - loved it. This song in particular resonated within me, and i felt the urge to cover it. The lyrical content summed up the struggles I had been through over the previous years, and was very motivating.

No matter what you think or feel, you're not alone. There are thousands of others that feel exactly as you do. It gets better with time and effort.

I found myself lying on my back, with the ceiling spinning above me. It was supposed to only be a quick trip. "In and Out" is what I had told myself. Grab the booze from the apartment you shared, and head "home" to the basement you were occupying during this disaster. I took too much time to look around the partially empty apartment, and decided to drink alone, and immediately. I remember passing out while singing made up gibberish to myself, as if it were an already written song.

The next thing I know, A familiar face is slapping me awake screaming in my face. The following evening, after I had nursed my hangover a little - I recorded this. I put it to some video of a snow covered tree, shot from my kitchen window right before I realized the snow wasn't the only thing falling around me.

We can all recover, and make life beautiful again. I believe it.

Enjoy "Swallow Fire". One of the most honest songs I have ever written. It seems fitting to upload this as my first video to my channel here on Bit.
