On Dec.6th, 2018, Bitchute was suspended from Patreon, supposedly for unclear reasons.
According to Ray Vahey and Bitchute staff, some of the reasons given were "poor moderation policies" and "allowing violent organizations".
Bitchute public statements claim that they never found out which channels triggered this event, or why Patreon thought their terms allowed violent organization. This may be true.
However, there have been and still are channels that violate Bitchute's own internal rules that have gone by undeleted for months, in spite of multiple flaggings and several attempts to bring the videos to the attention of Bitchute staff.
We do not believe in deplatforming, not do we want to hurt Bitchute. But these problems are not being addressed, and they will hurt the site, the users, and alt-tech as a whole if left unaddressed. We have compiled a list of these videos as evidence. If you are a user or supporter of Bitchute, you deserve to know about this.
