Use ‘lmsensors’ to get information related to temps or voltage on your system. This utilizes the health monitoring chips available on hardware and can be a great tool for checking on the temps of your GPU or CPU for instance during stress tests or diagnosing issues on your machine.
After install type ‘sudo sensors-detect’ to find out which sensors are available or that you want read.
Once that is complete simply type ‘sensors’ into your terminal and get a readout of voltage, temps, and fan speeds depending on the sensors your hardware has enabled.

This week in Ryan's courses they were going over vi/vim: "I have to be honest, I was dreading it a little bit. But, after going through the course I felt a lot more comfortable using vi/vim and the keyboard shortcuts made a little more sense. However, there was some additional homework they suggested which is executed by typing ‘vimtutor’ in your terminal. This is a 20-30 minute tutorial that is hands on using the commands you can run through on your own if you’re wanting to get more comfortable with vi/vim."

Tips & Tricks:
Using ‘cp’ to copy files in Linux is a very convenient tool. However, knowing these switches can save you from making mistakes:
-i : Confirm before overwriting
-n : No overwriting
-b : Overwriting with backup
-r : Recursive copying
-u : Overwrite if the target file is old or doesn’t exist

Ex: $ cp -b sourcedirectory targetdirectory will overwrite the file if it exists but creates a backup file first.
