It's getting ridiculous. The download file sizes for video games is insane. Call of Duty Modern Warfare is 128 GB. Red Dead Redemption 2 is 100 GB. There needs to be a new way to download games. I talk about this and why with data caps, it's getting difficult to download games. This episodes discuss a better alternative to these ballooning file sizes.

Another AAA game another controversy. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 have an image problem with gamers. However, it's a business decision to continue selling microtransactions. The problem is with gamers. We do buy them. The market is in a healthy growth with DLCs and microtransactions. Even if a group of gamers had this practice, its rising and has already overtaken the traditional model of gaming. I talked briefly about the two controversies plaguing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. After seeing further more information about a it's understandable why gamers are upset. However, I'm going to take a different approach and try to explain why the "higher ups" made the decisions they made. A disclaimer: I do not work for Activision Blizzard, but, I do own stock (one) to be exact.

Oh boy! Another dramafest for gamers. COD: Modern Warfare has one part of a mode that is exclusive. So? Why does it matter? I share my opinion on this episode. The reason I break from the rest of influential gamers is because there seems to be a narrow minded approach. I did play the COD Beta too. However, it's important to note that this industry is changing. Whether we like it or not. That's why subscription will be next approach most companies take. Buying anything will soon require a subscription or the product itself will be more expensive. That's why I go into further detail in this episode!

Before steam, getting new games on PC require a gamer to go to the store. It was yours after the transaction was complete. Now, we have several digital distribution sites, and, no one really owns anything anymore. Excluding GOG or Good Old Games, once you buy it from steam, a gamer must have an account and an internet connection. Now, comes the rise of subscription based gaming. Buying a new game requires a credit card, and an internet connection. Once a user stops paying, no more games. It's the new future every gamer will eventually live in. It will not just be downloading several launcher, it will be downloading one and choosing that one subscription package to the games you like. Publishers will be back in control of what gamers will or can play.Show Notes:New Overwatch Legendary Skin EventNext-Gen Wifi is here!Steam new discovery has some problemsCapcom messaging about the new RE gameLogitech has a new wireless mouseESA tries to rebrand E3NVIDIA bundles COD: MWAnother day, another launcherBlue comes out with Yeti XWhy the future of gaming is in the subscription plan.

Video games get become the convenient scapegoat when horrific acts of violence happen. The problem is there are many studies but few find significant link between acts of violence and violent video games. Time and again, we see marketing going off the rails. It's due to most agency being in major cities and not understanding the makeup of their audience. It can be to score awards or give some social points from the minority. MARKETING is about growing a business, then, why do they market to 8% of the population? It's because marketing has lost it's way. Everything changes in marketing, and influential marketers have tried to instill their ideologies instead of instilling solid tactics. I'll explain why being neutral has a big payoff. This is where NEUTRAL MARKETING comes in.
