It is believed that the creator of this map is from one of the Scandanavian countrie due to the language used to name some of the objects in the map. For example, the alarm lights are named 'Alarmlys'.

If I had to guess who made this map, I think it's Inferno Magma.
Inferno Magma and his wife created a few early maps for Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2001). It is my best guess that one of them created this map but the community has never been able to uncover any information that linked the two creators to this map.

I was checking an issue reported by Banahezzer that he experienced on the map, Pitchblack by 9th command's Poet.

Banahezzer says
"Oh btw since we start talking about UMP3... I want to report a bug on map called PITCHBLACK. There is 2 gratings that can be bugged and not opening anymore. But luckily this happens rare."
"Um okay well... but that happened already twice when i played on that map of all time. Like i said before. It's happens rare but when that happens... It's almost paralyse the gameplay on that map. Especially when grate door on alien spawn get glitched."

Both vent grate doors stop working on AvP2 master server patch 2.4 when a player stands close to where the vent grate door closes. This prevents the vent grate door from opening again for the rest of the session.
I could not replicate this issue on Aliens versus Predator 2 version 1.0.9.6

The first half of the video demonstrates breaking the door on AVP2 MSP 2.4 and the latter half of the video shows repeated failed attempts to break the vent grate door in 1.0.9.6 using the same method used in AvP 2 MSP 2.4 earlier.

It's sort of easy and funky to juggle some heads in BLOOD 2.

Here's how to kill stone gargoyles like Cheogh.Blood Fresh Supply by Monolith Productions and Night Dive Studios.

Cheogh is a stone gargoyle and the first boss of Blood. He rules over all the gargoyles and yearns for a higher rank, holding jealousy towards the Chosen for their esteem in Tchernobog's eyes. This jealousy turned to hatred when the Chosen are cast down.

Despite his death at the end of episode one, gargoyles and stone gargoyles appear plentiful in later levels, indicating they may be under Tchernobog's power, or are seeking vengeance for the death of their leader.

I saw a moving mass in the distance and shot it to find that I agitated 3 gargoyles.

The level is E1M6 The Great Temple in BLOOD.
