Comedy can be an effective vehicle for purveying certain truths that may be difficult to swallow in more sober forms, like adding a drop of honey to bitter medicine. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is by my estimation far more than a simple sci-fi blockbuster series peddled by our Disney Corp. Overlords. Despite the many criticisms I and others have of them, they are still an excellent depiction of symbology, and serve as an example of how the tradition of stories which hearkens back to antiquity is alive and well today.

This is an introductory video for a series I will be working on to highlight some of the underlying mythical elements within the (currently 23) films of this universe.
