We won the battle but the war ain't over
For 7 years I was a homeless person, no, no the kind who crashes on someones couch.
I spent most nights in graveyards as thats pretty much the only place youre garantueed to be left alone, no one hangs out in a grave yeard in the middle of the night... well, except me ofcourse.
I had a job for 5 out of these 7 years, so its not like I was just slacking off and thats why I had no home but the red tape our government cover literally everything in simply didnt allow me to rent an appartment, due to a combination of a screw up, some rather shitty luck and a psyco ex girlfriend I got marked by Skatteverket (closest you'll get in an english translation is probably the IRS) and once youre marked you cant do any deals involving more than one payment, no renting shit on a monthly basis, no loans, no paymentplans etc without a family member supporting you as "security".
Problem is... I have no family, so in this system I'm quite fucked, this made me a Nomad, no home or even a place to call home, drifting from town to town (after the restaurant I worked at was burnt to the ground) to not strain peoples generousity to much.
Life was rough... or so I thought. In 2015 I got stranded in the Philippines for 9 months after a taxi ran off with my suit case, all I owned were a tank top, shorts and my sandals. Thanks to the increadibly kind-hearted, generous, and humble nature of the Philppino people I managed to survive untill some kinds soul somewhere in the EU heard of my story and started a fundraiser that eventually got me back home. After this I was a "First World Nomad" cuz believe me... its is QUITE different being homeless and unemployed in a first world country...
Kinda gives you some perspective.
