What exactly was I trying to prove with this one? That Jerome Kern is possibly the greatest composer of all time? That Till the Clouds Roll By has the greatest soundtrack of any movie? That this small pocket of time in the 40s was the peak of music? Who knows. Either way, I took some of my favorite songs from this period (that I hadn't already uploaded, also saving the Sinatra ones for yet another 40s Sinatra compilation) and selected the sweetest of the sweet.
