This is a quick exploration of placing a couple objects first in an axis-aligned coordinate system, then in a rotated one. The second part then works backward, dealing with how to extract the components along these axes.
I overstretched the window I was drawing too in that second bit, which probably will make it a bit puzzling. I'm considering a follow-up to revisit this and maybe expand on it.
A first go at doing a stream, just to see if it works!
A short attempt (with moderate success) at transplanting some shaders onto the "tile texture" geometry from the test stream.
