Speculation has for a long time been one of the key aspects concerning this Primarch. However, with Black Library's latest Primarchs book, we're finally able to see the true origin of one of the most enigmatic characters in 40k lore. Remember, much of this is just my opinion and personal analysis, and I'm in no way pushing head cannon as official lore. If you're interested in enjoying the book without spoilers then don't watch this video and instead pick up a copy of the book from Black Library. Hydra Dominatus!

The Psychic Awakening is surging throughout the galaxy as the Imperium is split in two by the Great Rift. Countless Imperial worlds are now vulnerable to the enemies of humanity, and the forces of Chaos wasted no time in hunting. Among one such engagement lead by the notorious Kor Phaeron, the Night Lords played a pivotal role. Always eager for loot and pillage, the lords of the Night descended upon the Talledus System to infect the defenders with terror.

The Salamanders have had many of the greatest heroes of humanity among their ranks. Only those of the Blood Angels, Space Wolves, or Lamenters chapters can compare on being a champion of the common citizens of the Imperium. And Artellus Numeon is the oldest and foremost of all the litany of heroes concerning the Fireborn.

During the times of trial known as the Wardian Dark Age, the wargamers of the 40k fanbase were under the tyrannical domination of the Dark One. The Eater of Hope known as Matt Ward almost collapsed the stability of this plane of existence into the Warp itself with his reality-shattering heresy against the Warhammer 40000 established lore. With the rise of the Eater of Dreams, so too did it bring the rise of the Mary Sue, and a darkness that would span years over the hobby...

The Eternal hunter seeks out those marked for death by the Blood God throughout space and time. Once this hell hound has the quarry's scent, there is no escape. From the lowliest hive-city scum to the planetary Governors themselves, Karanak will take their skull back to Khorne to lay at the feet of its master within the Brass Citadel.

Adrax Agatone (AKA Nocturne's Hammer) is the Salamanders 3rd Company Captain. Also known as the Pyroclasts, Captain Agatone and his warriors are a force renowned for their prowess in battle all across the galaxy. When the Primaris Marines were introduced to the Chapter, Adrax went through the painful transformation himself and continued to lead his men to victory. The Emperor's enemies flee before him because Captain Agatone is the bane of all horrors the void can bring to bear.

Mechanicus is one of the best Warhammer 40k games out there. Follow me as we explore these priests of the Machine God, and explore beyond ancient Necron tombs in search of forbidden secrets...

Siegemaster Vorx was a child when Mortarion saved him from one of the Overlords on the planet Barbarus. He fought for the Death Lord throughout the wars against the Pale Kings and was of the first to be turned into Astartes upon the Legion's reunification with Mortarion. He fought throughout the Great Crusade, as well as the Horus Heresy. In the modern era, Vorx is the master of the Lords of Silence, and one of Mortarion's most favored warriors.

Nassir Amit of the Blood Angels Legion was a man cut from a different cloth when compared to his brothers. Always brutally honest in his opinions, and just as brutally efficient in battle, this legendary warrior embodied death as a force of nature.

The Night Lords Legion was known for its use of fear as a weapon, and few would wield it so efficiently as the Painted Count. Born to a noble house upon his home planet of Nostramo, this Legiones Astartes would rise through the ranks of the Legion to eventually lead the forces of the Night Lords at the Siege of Terra itself. Yet, the destiny of this jaded killer would transcend the material universe itself.

Regicide is the genius blending of Chess and 40k together into a resplendent triumph worthy of the Emperor. Do you like Chess? Do you like sci-fi? Do you like 40k? After the induction of Primaris into their chapter, the Salamanders were soon to find themselves on crusade once more. Daemons of Khorne, lead by a monstrous Bloodthirster, had invaded the Largos System through warp rifts caused by the Cicatrix Maledictum. It was only Vulcan's sons, the Fireborn, who could stop the massacre in time, and so in full chapter strength, they set forth to cleanse the system in the name of the Emperor...

On a side note, I always thought Tu'Shan wielded a Thunder Hammer, but the writer from GW very clearly states he's wielding a sword in this lore from the Salamanders Supplement. Go figure.

And yes, those Hellblaster models are mine and painted by me.

The Eternal Dancer weaves in and out of real-space to perform for both immortal and mortal beings alike. Once the most favored dancer of the Chaos God Slaanesh, the Masque now shares the Pleasure God's gift of sensation with all realms of reality. Once looked upon, no one can resist the entity's enrapturing gaze and MUST join in on the dance...

At the coming of the Great Rift, many formerly "safe" Imperial worlds were now very vulnerable to the forces of Chaos. One such Agri-world caught the eye of the Death Guard. Through a newly opened warp-tear in reality, the scions of the Plague God attacked. Sending out a distress signal because the planets had no way to hold off the heretics, only the Salamanders chapter of Space Marines answered the call.

With one of the most powerful fleets in the galaxy, it's no wonder the Death Guard has a Warband devoted to piracy and reaving. The Venomariners board and steal all vessels they can that they come across, and also rule an entire planetary system in a pirate empire. Though, the Tyranids also have a claim to these planets and seek to devour them despite the digestion issues from consuming plague planets...

The Weeping Legion Vectorium's name comes from the disgusting postulant slime that constantly seeps from their bodies and through their ancient ceramite armor. Though the true gift from The God is that of a strong bond with Daemon Engines, and their ability to field them in abundant numbers...

Codex Eldar 3rd edition is a masterpiece of grimdark and awesome. Let's explore this ancient alien race and how they're doing over ten thousand years after giving birth to a chaos god and destroying their galactic empire's heartland through hubris and depravity. 3rd edition was a weird time to be a wargamer and the dawn of GW's true dedication to the grimdark...
