Here's a closer look at the unconstitutional Amarillo Mask Mandate, the shenanigans that went into its passage, and the complete absence of a factual foundation to allow City officials to harass business to "Just Wear Your Damned Mask!"

To be clear, there is no debate about whether masks are having an effect against COVID. As you will clearly see, the data do not lie.

The City's assertions of legality are false. The fining of businesses for not imposing Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions on their employees and their patrons without ALSO requiring proper training of businesses and employees, training of patrons, and ensuring that the facial coverings used would actually stop a virus are fundamentally flawed.

This Mask Mandate, in itself, is exacerbating an existing public nuisance — public mask-wearing — that is spreading infection and disease throughout the community, PRECISELY BECAUSE members of the public have zero training in respiratory protection and contamination/infection control.

Imagine if the City required all residents to open carry with no firearms safety training and no licensing. It would also be a disaster.

This is why OSHA REQUIRES training of employees when businesses engage in these potentially harmful activities. You can create serious injury if you're not properly trained.
