The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival is held annually along the banks of the Shinano River near Ote Bridge. The fireworks last for a couple of hours and feature many large-scale displays. Reserve a spot, spread a groundsheet, put a blanket on top, and lie on the on the riverbank and watch the night sky light up. I recorded part of my experience watching the event. It was amazing.
